Every end has a beginning

Guys, welcome aboard.

I am opening this blog (NBA and basketball related) in honor of the new dreaded era: the great axis of evil Euroleague-FIBA is trying to steal all kind of NBA talent from the American (and Canadian, Carlos Delfino anyone?) soil!

Why me? Why does a tiny, un-athletic and somehow nerdy Italian guy write about this subject (maybe with incorrect and gross grammar and/or choice of words)?

Why, how many bloggers aren't nerd (if not for their exterior appearance, you have to think - you KNOW - that all bloggers in their deepest inside are nerdy, greasy and wearing eye-glasses)?

Anyway, I'd just like to offer some insight from this side of the Atlantic Ocean on this awe-inspiring subject to all of you, the soon-to-be-vanquished Americans! Bwa-ha-ha-haaa.

Nah.

Honestly, I think there is no need to worry, at this point. I just want to defy stereotypes and, at the same time, keep you informed about those players who played in the NBA (or might have played, see Tiago Splitter), with a very keen eye on some of them.

Since I am a Bologna citizen, and I root for the team that just signed Earl Boykins (if you ask me, he's going to be a bust here, but this will be an argument for another post) and Keith Langford, I will cover mostly the Italian League and the Euroleague.

Now and then I will also refer about Spanish and Russian Leagues, without forgetting that new NBA wonders (?) Bobby Brown and Dwayne Mitchell hail from Germany teams. And Tonay Parcare (er, Tony Parker), Ian Mahinmi, Boris Diaw und so weiter came from French League!

If you join me for the ride (about one year, then we'll see), I will be extremely pleased and delighted. That is, if you're not going to kick my ass for the not-so-perfect use of english!

See ya!

(next post is about... yay! Manu Ginobili!)
